Online Safety Course
Be a well educated volunteer when you arrive on the job site. Safety is our number one concern.  That is why Habitat for Humanity has designed an 'Online Safety Course'  just for Volunteers. This course is a very effective training tool for volunteers prior to volunteer day. It's easy to use... takes just 30 minutes to complete... and empowers you with the safety knowledge you need to be an effective part of your Habitat home build. Upon completion of the online course, the Habitat affiliate you are volunteering for will receive a certificate of completion for their records. Click here for instructions and take the course.

The Lakes Region Habitat for Humanity needs YOU!!
The Lakes Region Habitat for Humanity will celebrate our 30th year and plans to build our 32nd house in 2012. What’s more exciting is that this will be our first a handicap accessible house!
What we need: Qualified general contractors and tradesmen willing to give their time to build a new house from the ground up in 2012. We’re always on the lookout for materials donations as well.
Our dream would be a “Blitz Build” where contractors and tradesmen are able to get the house built and dried in with all utilities and mechanicals installed in a few weeks time. Then non-skilled volunteers could assist with the finish work inside and out.

Responsibilities of General Contractors:
