The mission of Habitat is to eliminate substandard housing in the world by working in partnership with people in need to build simple, decent, affordable housing. The houses are then sold to those in need at no profit and with no interest charged.

Volunteers Participated in the 2008 Building Blitz
On
Friday May 30th The Lakes Region Habitat for Humanity started a 10 day Building
Blitz
at 116 Shaker Jerry Road in Moultonborough. The
build continued on
to the weekend of June 7th. Major sponsors and contributors
to
the Blitz were the tradesmen of the Lakes Region Builders and
Remodelers
Association. Their labor and materials were donated to
build a
1 1/2 story cape in one concentrated effort. Volunteers were
also called upon to assist in the work from the
professionals. This house will be
home to
our 29th Partner Family in the Lakes Region.
